Welcome to Excel Martial Arts Port Coquitlam, where our goal is to help you become your very best version of you. Mr. Richard McIlmoyl and our team of highly skilled and enthusiastic instructors have been teaching martial arts at their Broadway Street location since 2011. We are active partners in the community, supporting and fundraising for the local school district, KidsSport, Cops for Cancer and many other local organizations. Every year we raise over $10,000 for local causes, PACs, and charities. Our system is a blend of traditional and modern martial arts styles that focus on keeping our members safe and healthy both in and out of the training center. Even our business model is built by mental wellness professionals in corroboration with incredible martial artists and leaders. We hire local teens and adults and train them professionally through our own Instructor Academy, as well as seminars and events taught by 4th and 5th Degree Black Belts along with clinical counsellors, kinesiologists, and other health care professionals.
We think we're different.
At Excel, we promote participation, as well as honesty and integrity, as a means to discovering one's greatness. Martial arts training supports positive development of self-confidence and self-esteem, while improving physical fitness and mental wellness. Through Integration of both traditional and contemporary martial arts disciplines, along with and Robyn Silverman’s Powerful Words Curriculum, EMA offers a holistic martial arts program for children, adults and families.
Feel free to drop by and take a look around.
